Germany· Office Productivity Suite

Needs review

Shortlist reeqee when a DACH team needs German natural-language queries on CSV/XLSX with local row processing and an EU LLM that only receives schema. Skip when you need a full spreadsheet suite, server-side warehouse analytics, independent security audits, or consumer licensing. Consider Microsoft 365 Excel or Google Workspace for authoring, and LibreOffice or Nextcloud for European office/file workflows that are not text-to-SQL.

reeqee

German text-to-SQL on CSV and XLSX
Users upload CSV or Excel, ask in everyday German, and receive a generated SQL query plus a result table. Aimed at accountants and SME staff who will not write SQL or complex formulas.
Local DuckDB-WASM execution
Row data is processed in the browser with DuckDB-WASM according to the vendor. Analysis does not require uploading table contents to reeqee servers, which helps with sensitive DATEV or bank exports.
Schema-only Mistral EU calls
The privacy policy states that only the question and column names go to Mistral AI SAS in France for SQL generation and suggested questions. Cell values are excluded from that path.
Multi-file join and export
Paid workflows include linking multiple files or sheets with column matching, then exporting results as Excel or CSV. Plan limits differ between single-file and multi-file tiers.
Offline-style CSV/Excel converter
A separate converter turns files between XLSX, XLS, ODS, and CSV variants entirely in the browser without calling the AI, useful for UTF-8 and delimiter fixes.

Unomed Flows

Trigger-and-step workflows with mandatory approval
Practices assemble workflows from listed triggers (referral arrived, dictation finished, lab result, refill request, insurer question, and more) and preparation steps (extract, match patient, suggest codes, draft report, file, encrypt-send). The vendor states the last step is always human review and approval before results are used.
Referral intake without retyping
Ready-made template path: when a referral PDF arrives, Flows reads patient and referrer fields, prepares patient creation in the practice system, and prepares a receipt confirmation. Staff confirm the match before anything is written. Aimed at Swiss referral volume rather than generic OCR demos.
ICD-10-GM code suggestions from documentation
After a consultation is documented, Flows can suggest matching ICD-10-GM codes and only enters them once approved. Coding responsibility stays with the professional; the product prepares candidates inside the practice process.
Runs inside existing browser-based PIS UIs
Unomed claims to work on the visible interface of the practice software (like an assistant), without database access or replacing the system. Public list covers 16-plus systems with official partnerships named for Swiss-MR, Axenita, inSuite, Nereida, ePaad and roaadent among others. Desktop-only stacks need a custom discussion.
Dictation and findings preparation
Workflows can turn finished dictations into structured report drafts (including referrer-short versions) and prepare findings for naming and filing into the proposed record. Unclear patient matches are meant to be resolved before filing, not auto-committed.

Assurance & compliance: reeqee vs Unomed Flows
Assurance & compliance	reeqee	Unomed Flows
Independent security / no-logs audit	Not found Vendor claims local processing and limited AI payloads; no public third-party audit PDF found.	Not found No public independent audit PDF or no-logs audit page found on unomed.ch.
ISO 27001	Not found	Not found No ISO 27001 certificate claim located on product, security or trust pages.
SOC 2 / SOC 3	Not found	Not found No SOC 2/3 report claim found.
GDPR / EU data protection	Vendor claimed German sole trader controller; detailed DE privacy policy; Hetzner and Mistral named as processors with Art. 28 language.	Vendor claimed Swiss FADP (DSG) and GDPR both referenced in the privacy policy; Unomed AG is Swiss controller/processor depending on context. Confirm DPA for B2B healthcare use.
US CLOUD Act exposure (indicative)	Partial EU sole trader, no known US parent, published processors are EU (Hetzner, Mistral, Mollie). Residual risk from possible US-operated client CDN (jsdelivr in CSP) and unpublished backup/DR. Indicative only, not legal advice.	Partial Swiss entity / no known US parent, but US-group subprocessors appear: AWS (S3 eu-central-2, Rekognition/Cognito eu-west-1 per CSP), Firebase Cloud Messaging, Cloudflare and possibly Google Analytics on the marketing site. Indicative exposure medium. Not legal advice.
Data processing agreement (B2B)	Vendor claimed AGB §10 state parties conclude an Art. 28 DPA when the provider processes personal data on the customer's behalf. Confirm execution in procurement.	Vendor claimed Privacy policy §9 states processing on behalf of healthcare providers under contractual arrangements (data processing agreement). Request the current DPA and named subprocessor schedule.
EU AI Act	Not found Product is AI-assisted (Mistral text-to-SQL). No public AI Act classification or conformity statement found on the site.	Unknown Product is AI-centric for administrative preparation with human approval. No public EU AI Act classification or conformity statement found.

Considerations & known limitations: reeqee vs Unomed Flows
Considerations & known limitations	reeqee	Unomed Flows
AI SQL can be wrong	High AGB disclaim correctness of generated SQL and results. Customers must validate before tax, accounting, or business decisions. Practical impact: treat outputs as assistive, keep human review of the shown SQL.	No indicado
Questions and SQL are logged	Medium Privacy policy stores question text, generated SQL, success flag, and timestamp. Even if row data stays local, question text may itself be sensitive. Object via hello@reeqee.de per the policy.	No indicado
No public independent audit	Medium Local-processing and schema-only AI claims are first-party. No ISO 27001, SOC 2, or public security audit was found. High-assurance buyers will need contractual evidence and technical due diligence.	Medium No ISO 27001, SOC 2 or independent audit artefacts were found on the public site. Healthcare procurement may need questionnaires, penetration-test summaries or on-request reports before production use.
Sole-trader operator scale	Medium Legal entity is a Berlin sole trader, not a GmbH with published certs or status page. Fine for many SME tools; weaker for enterprises that need vendor risk tiers, SLA percentages, or succession guarantees.	No indicado
Renewal wording inconsistency	Low Pricing page text and AGB renewal clauses have differed on automatic extension. Confirm the signed terms before budgeting renewals.	No indicado
US-group cloud services on the data path	No indicado	Medium Despite Swiss hosting claims, observed and disclosed paths include AWS services and Firebase push. Sovereignty-sensitive buyers should obtain the named processor list and assess CLOUD Act / transfer risk with counsel.
AI preparation errors in clinical administration	No indicado	Medium Vendor openly states suggestions can be wrong. Residual risk remains if practices over-trust auto-prepared codes, patient matches or report drafts; approval UX and training matter.
PIS coverage and desktop limits	No indicado	Low Supported browser-based systems are listed, but missing PIS brands and non-browser desktop software may block adoption until Unomed confirms feasibility.

Encaje

reeqee

Best fit when

German-speaking accounting, tax, controlling, or SME operators querying CSV/XLSX exports without SQL skills
Teams that want row data to stay in the browser and only send schema plus questions to an EU LLM
Buyers who need a narrow analysis tool beside Excel/DATEV exports rather than a full office suite
Organisations that prefer German-law B2B contracting with Berlin-based sole-trader operation and Hetzner DE hosting

Poor fit when

Teams that need collaborative spreadsheet authoring, macros, or a full Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace replacement
Workloads that require server-side data warehouses, scheduled pipelines, or multi-tenant governed datasets
Buyers that require ISO 27001, SOC 2, or an independent no-logs/security audit before shortlisting
Consumer or personal use cases (AGB limit the offer to entrepreneurs and public-law entities)

Consider instead when

When: You need a full European spreadsheet client for creating and editing workbooks offline
Consider: LibreOffice
LibreOffice is an office suite, not a text-to-SQL assistant.
When: You need EU file sync, sharing, and office collaboration rather than ad hoc CSV questioning
Consider: Nextcloud
Complementary stack: store in Nextcloud, analyse exports in reeqee if the AI path fits.
When: Analysts already live in Excel/Sheets and only need formulas, Power Query, or pivot tables
Consider: Microsoft 365 Excel or Google Workspace Sheets
Stay in the incumbent suite if natural-language German querying is not the bottleneck.

Unomed Flows

Best fit when

Swiss medical practices on supported browser-based PIS wanting less retyping of referrals and findings
Teams that require a visible approve step before AI-prepared data enters the record
Clinics standardising ICD-10-GM suggestion and dictation-to-report drafting inside current software
Buyers prioritising Swiss legal entity and Swiss-claimed workflow hosting over US productivity suites

Poor fit when

Organisations replacing the practice information system itself rather than automating adjacent admin steps
Desktop-only PIS environments with no browser UI unless Unomed confirms a custom connection
Procurement that forbids US-parent cloud subprocessors (AWS/Firebase/Cloudflare paths observed or disclosed)
Buyers needing published ISO 27001/SOC 2 reports or a fully public named subprocessor register on day one

Consider instead when

When: You only need dictation or meeting transcription, not multi-step referral and filing workflows
Consider: LiteScribe or HappyScribe
Those catalog peers focus on transcription/notes rather than Swiss PIS overlay automation.
When: You need general-purpose cross-app automation across Office/Google stacks outside Swiss healthcare templates
Consider: Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace automation
Broader ecosystems, different jurisdiction and healthcare workflow depth.

Open questions for due diligence

reeqee

Will the vendor sign a customer DPA and provide a complete subprocessor list including backup/DR?
Is there an independent review of the browser build proving row data never leaves the client?
Which exact Mistral model/endpoint is used, and how are prompt logs retained on Mistral's side?
Which renewal and cancellation terms govern paid plans when pricing page and AGB wording diverge?
Are there documented row/size limits for DuckDB-WASM on typical office laptops?

Unomed Flows

Will Unomed provide the current named subprocessor list (legal entities) and sign a DPA covering Flows workflows before go-live?
Which exact Swiss datacentre operator hosts primary databases, and is any AWS account/region used for primary patient workflow storage versus only identity or object storage?
Are ISO 27001, SOC 2, or health-sector assessments available under NDA?
What does Enterprise 'own deployment' include (VPC, on-prem components, customer-managed keys)?
How is EU AI Act applicability assessed for administrative AI with mandatory human approval in Swiss practices serving cross-border patients?
