Compare Riff y ZoomSphere en capacidades, jurisdicción, garantías y encaje para compradores europeos.
Estonia· Social Media Management
Needs review
Shortlist when you want on-device AI drafts for social replies, posts, and browser DMs from an Estonian publisher and you can run Gemini Nano in desktop Chrome. Skip when you need auto-publishing, mobile apps, multi-seat admin, or a signed cloud DPA. Consider Fireply AI for automated X replies, or ZoomSphere for multi-network scheduling.
Czech Republic· Social Media Management
Needs review
Shortlist ZoomSphere when an EU-legal social scheduler with agency approval workflows and flat team packaging matters more than a US-suite listening stack. Skip when you need public audit artefacts, a named subprocessor register, or self-hosting; consider Agorapulse, Planable, or Kontentino instead depending on region.

On-device replies for X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram
Riff reads the post (and quoted or parent context) in the tab, takes your rough point, and streams a reply sized to that site via Gemini Nano on the computer. Insert fills the site's reply or comment box; you press send. Desktop Chrome only.
Riff a post with hooks, dials, and versions
Click into a new post box and the panel switches to Post mode: drop notes, ask for three hooks, rework with chips (shorter, stronger hook, scannable), and keep versions until Clear. Supports LinkedIn posts, X posts or threads, Facebook posts, and Instagram captions (caption flow marked beta on the help site).
DMs and work chat drafts without deciding for you
Drafts LinkedIn Messaging, facebook.com Messenger, Instagram Direct, X Chat, plus Slack and Microsoft Teams in Chrome. Point text is optional in DMs. Vendor docs state it will not accept a time, price, or yes/no for you, and Insert never presses Send.
Site-aware limits, Voice, and freshness checks
Tone and length follow the active tab (for example X character counting with links as 23 characters, LinkedIn up to 3,000). Voice and brand voices, a Never-say list, and checks against your last 60 replies or posts aim to keep drafts from repeating you. Settings stay in Chrome storage on that machine.
No account, no API key, no product servers
Privacy policy and Chrome Web Store listing state Riff has no extension servers, analytics, or remote code loading for the product itself. Commercial model is free with no subscription. You still depend on Google's on-device Gemini Nano download inside Chrome.
Multi-network Scheduler with workspaces
Plan and auto-publish from shared calendars across Facebook, Instagram (Stories/Reels), TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Threads, with per-client or per-brand workspaces so agency teams keep assets and calendars separated.
Custom approval workflows and no-login review
Move posts through custom statuses with role permissions, send batches to chat or email, and let clients preview and approve via links without creating a ZoomSphere account. Bulk email approval is documented for up to 100 posts in one message.
Built-in collaboration suite
Team chat, Workflow Manager task boards, Notes, Files, comments, @mentions, post edit history, and activity logs live inside the product so agencies do not bounce approvals across Slack and email.
Flat team packaging with trial
Pricing is sold as a flat team subscription rather than per seat. The public plan states up to 50 users and 50 social accounts, with a 14-day free trial and custom plans for larger needs. Confirm current limits on the pricing page before procurement.
Post analytics inside the calendar
Scheduler feature lists include post analytics and content export (PDF/Excel), so performance context stays next to the content plan. Dedicated public docs for a full social inbox were not found during this research pass.
| Assurance & compliance | Riff | ZoomSphere |
|---|---|---|
| Independent security / no-logs audit | Not found Strong first-party on-device claims; no public third-party extension network or no-exfiltration audit found. | Not found No public audit PDF or security whitepaper found. |
| ISO 27001 | Not found | Not found Searched site paths and GDPR/privacy pages; no ISO claim found. |
| SOC 2 / SOC 3 | Not found | Not found No SOC 2/3 claim found on public pages reviewed. |
| GDPR / EU data protection | Vendor claimed Estonian controller; privacy policy cites GDPR rights and Estonian DPA. Extension claims no personal data sent to the developer. | Vendor claimed Czech/EU entity; dedicated GDPR page and privacy policy; DataRep named as GDPR representative. |
| US CLOUD Act exposure (indicative) | Partial No known US parent; extension claims no product servers. Residual exposure via Google Chrome/Gemini Nano dependency and Cloudflare/GA on the marketing site. Not legal advice. | Partial EU entity / no known US parent, but core app DNS shows AWS (US-group cloud) in Frankfurt. Not legal advice. |
| Data processing agreement (B2B) | Not found No account-based B2B product or public DPA flow found; free individual extension positioning. | Vendor claimed GDPR page states a DPA is available to users/external parties. |
| EU AI Act | Partial Generative writing assistant using Chrome Gemini Nano. No public AI Act role/classification statement found on vendor pages as of research date. | Not applicable Product is social scheduling/collaboration SaaS; AI copy features may exist but the core offering is not an AI system product for AI Act product-safety framing. |
| Considerations & known limitations | Riff | ZoomSphere |
|---|---|---|
| Strict Chrome / Gemini Nano hardware bar | High Without Chrome 138+, enough free disk, and GPU/RAM thresholds, the extension cannot run. This excludes many managed laptops and all mobile users. | No indicado |
| Depends on Google on-device AI in Chrome | Medium Riff does not ship its own model. Availability, languages, and future Prompt API behaviour follow Chrome/Gemini Nano. Privacy policy points to Google's privacy terms for the model. | No indicado |
| On-device claims are first-party only | Medium No public independent audit of extension network behaviour was found. Security teams may want to inspect the unpacked extension or wait for third-party review. | Medium No ISO 27001, SOC 2, or third-party security audit artefacts were found on the public site. Request evidence under NDA during procurement. |
| Marketing site uses Cloudflare and Google Analytics | Low Website visitors (not extension drafts) hit US-group CDN/analytics. Consent banner applies in EEA/UK/CH for GA. | No indicado |
| No auto-publish or scheduling | Low By design Riff never presses send. Teams needing automation volume must use another product. | No indicado |
| US-group cloud under EU regions | No indicado | Medium app.zoomsphere.com resolves to AWS in Frankfurt. Residency can still be EU while the operator remains US-group, which matters for CLOUD Act and sovereignty RFPs. |
| No public subprocessor list | No indicado | Medium Security, trust, and subprocessors pages returned 404. Privacy policy mentions trusted third parties for hosting, billing, CRM, and monitoring without naming them publicly. |
| Marketing scale metrics unverified | No indicado | Low About page advertises large active-user and profile counts. Treat as vendor marketing until independently corroborated; omitted from primary evaluation claims. |
